This fresh, golden beer is actually a lager, but it doesn’t have to shy away from comparison with a Pilsner.

First brewed in 1897 by Wilhelm Hasse, a German brewer who had emigrated to Mexico, this beer was originally called “Siglo XX” to celebrate the beginning of the 20th century. When the new century finally arrived, the beer was renamed “XX”. The logo shows the letters XX as a symbol of modernity. In the middle of the logo is the face of the Aztec ruler Montezuma as a tribute to Mexican tradition.
